Autonomous Plant Monitoring – Update 3

This week’s progress

I am glad to state that the project is now completed! The assembly was straightforward most of the time, and most of the hiccups were solved with some filing.

As for attaching the system to the vehicle, I did not want to modify any part within the vehicle’s structure. The structure itself was not designed while keeping in mind that other subsystems would be attached on top of it. Therefore, I simple printed some plastic brackets that would be used to surround the vehicle. In addition, I used some fishing strings to keep the brackets in tension, and hold the system correctly in place.

This concludes the project! The duration is 3 weeks, and the results are satisfactory in my opinion. I am now ready to participate in the BIGS 2018!
